How does the free trial work?
Start a 14-day free trial with up to 5 athletes and 25 AI queries per day. A card is required at checkout (you won’t be charged until day 15, cancel anytime in Billing). You get readiness scoring, basic AI insights, and athlete app access. Upgrade to Pro or Team to unlock all 7 AI engines, morning briefings, workflow automation, and unlimited AI queries.
What is the difference between Pro and Team?
Pro gives individual coaches the full AI engine suite — morning briefings, risk flags, and workout-adaptation suggestions for up to 30 athletes. Team adds multi-coach support, team workflows, parent communication digests, class management, and analytics for up to 100 athletes.
Why is Matter more expensive than basic coaching tools?
Matter does the planning work, not just the record keeping. It generates plans, adapts workouts, scores readiness, reviews context, and drafts specific actions for coach approval. Pricing reflects ongoing AI inference, monitoring, and research-grounded recommendations — not just data storage.
Can I upgrade or downgrade anytime?
Yes. Upgrade from Pro to Team anytime — all data, athlete profiles, AI history, and automation rules carry over. Downgrade at the end of your billing cycle. No migration headaches.
What happens during onboarding?
We help you set up your account, import your roster, configure automation preferences, and walk through best practices. Enterprise customers get a dedicated onboarding specialist. Most coaches are fully running within 24 hours.
What is Athlete Pro?
Matter Pro is the premium in-app subscription for the Matter athlete app. It adds deeper personal insight features for athletes who want more context beyond team access. The app is available on the App Store, with Matter Pro listed as an in-app purchase.
Do athletes need to pay to use the app?
Athletes can download Matter from the App Store. Athlete access for a coach-led team is included with every coach plan at no extra cost. Matter Pro is an optional in-app purchase for athletes who want deeper personal insights.
What is included in the annual plan?
Annual billing gives you roughly two months free on coach plans — Pro drops to $79/mo ($948/year, saving $240) and Team drops to $199/mo ($2,388/year, saving $600). Same features, same month-to-month flexibility after year one. All coach plans include athlete app access for connected athletes.

Prices shown in USD and exclude sales tax where applicable — Stripe collects tax based on your billing address. Coach plans are refundable within 30 days of the initial charge; athlete app access is included for connected athletes. Coaches receiving Connect payouts of $600+ per calendar year receive a 1099-K issued by Stripe. Platform fees (2.9% + $0.30 Stripe processing + 3% Matter platform fee) are deducted from Connect payouts. Cancel anytime; downgrade or cancel preserves access through the end of your current billing period, and you mayexport your data before cancellation.
